Lindsay's Signature Notary ("LSN," "we," "us," or "our") provides mobile and remote online notary services in Apollo Beach and the greater Tampa Bay, Florida area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

When you contact us, book an appointment, or subscribe to The Notary Note, we may collect:

  • Contact information you provide directly — name, email address, phone number, and mailing/service address
  • Appointment and service details — the type of notarization requested and scheduling information
  • For Remote Online Notarization (RON) sessions specifically: identity verification data (such as knowledge-based authentication or credential analysis results) and an audio-video recording of the notarization session, collected and retained as required by Florida law
  • Website usage information collected automatically through standard analytics tools (such as pages visited and general location/device information)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To schedule, confirm, and complete notarization appointments
  • To communicate with you about your appointment or inquiry
  • To send The Notary Note newsletter, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email
  • To comply with Florida notary law, including recordkeeping and audio-video retention requirements for Remote Online Notarization under Fla. Stat. § 117.265

3. Remote Online Notarization (RON) Records

Florida law requires that audio-video recordings and related electronic journal entries from RON sessions be retained for a minimum of ten (10) years. This recording may be maintained by LSN directly or by our RON technology provider on our behalf, consistent with Florida Department of State requirements. These records are kept solely to satisfy legal recordkeeping obligations and are not used for marketing purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

  • With our RON technology provider, solely to perform and record the notarization itself
  • With our CRM/scheduling platform (GoHighLevel) to manage appointments and communications
  • When required by law, subpoena, court order, or to comply with Florida notary regulations

5. Email Communications

If you subscribe to The Notary Note, you'll receive periodic email updates about notary and apostille law. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-out requests promptly. We do not share newsletter subscriber lists with third parties for their own marketing use.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you share with us. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You may also contact us directly to ask what information we hold about you or to request corrections, subject to any legal recordkeeping obligations described in Section 3 above.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
